BONE AUGMENTATION

Bone augmentation, also called bone formation, is a procedure typically needed when the existing bone mass of your jaw is not suitable for successfully placing dental implants. Fortunately, in this day and age, our doctors are able to produce bone where it's needed. When the bone mass is too thin or soft to hold an implant in place, bone augmentation will help the bone to fuse with the dental implant and keep it secure. If a dental implant is placed in the jaw where the bone structure is not sufficient, the probability of failure of the implant increases.
